REducing Lung congestion symptoms using the V-wavE shunt in advanced heart failure (RELIEVE-HF)
The objective of the study is to provide reasonable assurance of safety and effectiveness of the V-Wave Interatrial Shunt System to improve clinical outcomes in a certain high-risk group of symptomatic patients suffering from heart failure.
18 years of age or older Diagnosed by a physician and told that I have Heart Failure Currently on medications for the treatment of HF Have symptoms of HF such as shortness of breath, fatigue, inability to lie flat or reduced ability to exert myself Have been hospitalized or treated in an emergency department within the past year for my HF
Exclusion Criteria:
Presently on kidney dialysis Presently enrolled in another clinical research study for an investigational drug or device Have had a heart transplant or am presently on a waiting list for a transplant Have an implanted mechanical heart assist device (pump)
