Everyday Stress Response Targets in the Science of Behavior Change
Our research team is seeking participants for a research study to better understand how people experience stress in everyday life and how that stress impacts physical activity and sleep. We are recruiting adults (aged 35-65) from both the State College area and the Harrisburg/Hershey area who are healthy and free of physical limitations, and able and willing to use a smartphone to complete surveys throughout the day.
Participation involves: - 1-week study with two in-person visits (1.5 to 2 hours each) - Wearing two devices to collect physical activity and sleep data - Answering 8 brief surveys on a smartphone throughout the day Study participants can receive up to $100 compensation for their time. Participants completing this study may be invited to join a follow-up study and earn up to an additional $315. Willing and able to use a smartphone to answer 8 brief surveys throughout the day
Willing and able to travel to the Penn State (University Park or Harrisburg) Campus for at least 2 in-person visits
Not local to State College, Harrisburg, or the surrounding communities
Employment requiring work between the hours of 10pm and 6am or overnight "on-call" hours
