Penn State research is only possible because of the commitment and time the people of our communities dedicate to participating in our studies. Participating in research is one of the most powerful things you can do to be part of tomorrow's health care breakthroughs. Research empowers us with knowledge, leading us to new treatments, new medicines and other discoveries that improve health. As a research participant, you play an active role in your own health and are contributing to the advancement of science.

StudyFinder is a tool that allows Penn State researchers to share studies that are looking for research participants in a number of different general topic areas. Updates are being made to StudyFinder to help make it a more active database. With these updates, you will be able to create a profile and select the type of studies you may be interested in, and Penn State will make it easier for you to “match” with research studies that you may be interested in. In addition to allowing you to browse active studies, we bring them directly to your email inbox twice per month. If a study looks interesting to you, you can contact the research team to learn more and then decide if you would like to participate. Penn State research teams will benefit from the added functionality of StudyFinder, by engaging with participants who have noted they are interested in participating in studies on specific topics, or participation in research broadly.

When you participate in a Penn State research study, you can help create a healthier future.
