Collaboration and moderation in online games
The project seeks to use empirical methods such as interview and survey to understand how game players collaborate in video games (e.g., how they work together to kill a monster in game), when breakdowns happen in collaboration (e.g., they blame each other when they fail to achieve their in-game goal), and what moderation mechanisms could be used to enhance collaboration (e.g., mechanisms that discourage them from harassing their teammates).
