COVID-19 and the intolerance of uncertainty in school-aged children with special needs and their parents
The purpose of the proposed project is to collect survey responses examining parent and children’s thought, feelings, and behaviors associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. Such a project is crucial as it will likely inform key areas of intervention and barriers to treatment during national crises and in times of uncertainty. Specifically, the project aims to collect survey responses from parents of school-aged children (elementary ages 5-11) who have a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) at two different time points, approximately 6-months apart.
